Who's hosting?
I'm Seth. I'm creating The Wild Edge to be the place for people who feel eager and captivated about AI, or who feel disoriented or unsure because of the AI moment we're in ... or, most likely, are swimming in both at the same time.
AI creates the perfect intersection of several things I've long loved and pursued:

Gadgetry and technology
It's been said that my first sentence was, "You push the button," and it's been a long, enthusiastic slide down the rabbit hole since then. AI is the gadget that reinvents itself each week. It feels like grabbing a high-voltage wire.

Collaborative, exploratory, inventive conversation
We are our best selves when a person brings it out of us. Whether it's using post-its, paints, or breakout rooms, there's a benevolently manipulative art to helping people realize that they can trust the person sitting across from them. Workplaces don't make space for it, but I can't imagine anything more important, and it's the craft I'm most proud of.

Making order of mess
I've called it systems thinking, business operations, empathy, sense-making, metaphor, and more. I see the whole messy picture and put my finger on what's happening. I'm insatiably inquisitive about anything that's calling to be disentangled: a situation, an initiative, a team, a person's mind, or what AI can mean to us.
The AI moment calls for these three things because:
- We need a place to understand AI itself. The more updates you read about AI, the more you learn, but somehow you end up feeling less oriented and with more FOMO, not the opposite. It's so promising, but so overwhelming.
- We need a place to design our own relationship with AI. The invention of a cognitive tool creates something that feels like a cognitive identity crisis: "Where do my skills fit, now? Do I fit anywhere? AI lets me do more than I could before, but now I'm not even sure what I want to want." And yet, it also feels like an opportunity to imagine bigger than we've ever been able to before.
AI can amplify our most human pursuits (instead of paving over them). It gives us the chance to reimagine and rebuild who we get to be, and how life and work get to feel.

But your perspective is all knotted up inside of you, and you can't untangle a rope under tension. So, I want to give you the space to wonder hard enough and explore with enough adventure to find and put words to what you can do with AI that matters to you, and then set off to go do it.
That's just impossibly difficult to do alone.
At The Wild Edge, you get to do it with people who are doing the same, myself included. If we have to go through an identity crisis, and we get to discover where it takes us, let's do it together.

Career Reinventors
For people who left a career, lost a career, or are rethinking theirs. It's a time of wonderful latitude to discover and develop a new professional identity that suits who you are, but golly is that a lot of responsibility. These sessions are facilitated peer coaching, like a 'Brain Trust', with folks doing exactly the same thing.

Claude Code empowers us to do incredible things far beyond regular AI chat — not for coding, but for thinking with you and for you. Each of us just needs to figure out how to set it up to help us do our best thinking, about the things we care about, and connected to the systems we use. We'll talk about Skills, sub-agents, knowledge structure, context management, and much more. You'll learn to set up Claude Code so it knows what it needs to, and makes you feel like you have a partner in crime and ten sets of hands.

Teach AI What Matters to You
Self-knowledge has always been satisfying, but now it has a tactical benefit, too. AI can intuit what you want, if it knows you well, but you've never had a reason to describe yourself in detail. This includes practical details like your job description, but also dimensions like your values and aspirations, your cognitive and emotional strengths, and your foibles and hangups. Seth has been building his own self-documentation for years, and this is where you'll use AI to build your own, to better empower your AI to work for you.
